Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted a proposal from North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un to visit the DPRK at an “acceptable time”.
"Putin welcomed the proposal and confirmed his desire to continue the history and traditions of friendship between Russia and the DPRK without words”" the state news agency of the Central Telegraph of Korea reported
Putin and Kim Jong-Un met on September 13 at the Vostochny cosmodrome in the Russian Far East. During an official dinner party with the Russian President, Kim invited him to visit North Korea.
Before that, the leaders of the two States communicated during the inspection of the Vostochny cosmodrome, after which they first held negotiations with the participation of delegations, and then face-to-face.
That morning, Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov responded to a question from journalists about the possible response visit of the Russian president to Pyongyang, saying, “there are no such plans yet.”
