Providing Karshi State University with solar panels saved 153 million soums per month and made it possible to earn 734 million soums per year. This was reported to "Daryo" by the head of the information service of the institution, Oybek Yusupov.

It was noted that the works of installing solar panels at OTM have been completed.

"Today, a number of priority projects regarding the use of alternative energy in economic sectors, social sector facilities and residential areas are being implemented in our country. The decision of the head of our state on February 16 of this year on measures to accelerate the introduction of renewable energy sources and energy-saving technologies in 2023 was an important document aimed at ensuring the compensation of the energy deficit in our country. Extensive work is being done at Karshi State University to introduce renewable energy sources and energy-saving technologies. In particular, solar panels producing a total of 910 kWh of electricity have been installed at the higher educational institution. 510 kW/h solar panels were installed on the heliopolygon, which was unusable and had a high level of salinity, on the site of the former waste dump," says Oybek Yusupov.

It was added that now all buildings of the university are supplied with electricity produced by solar panels.

"As a result, 152,880 kW of electricity was produced in one month, and 152,880,000 soums were saved. Also, the processes of signing an agreement on the sale of 254.8 kW of excess electricity per hour to the Karshi city electric network enterprise are underway. As a result, it will be possible to earn 61 million 152 thousand soums (61 152 kW) in a month and about 734 million soums (733 824 kW) in a year," said the official.

It was added that 89 200-watt solar panel night lights were also installed in the territory of the university.
