Large-scale protests have erupted in the US city of Minneapolis, Minnesota, after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer shot and killed a 37-year-old woman.
The incident occurred on January 7 during an immigration raid. According to ICE, the woman was shot because she posed a threat to agents with her car. However, witnesses and video footage indicate that the woman did not pose a serious threat. The deceased was a 37-year-old mother of three. Protests against ICE activities are being held in Minneapolis and other cities after the incident
A federal investigation has been announced into the incident.
