Prohibitions on law enforcement officers established

The law signed by Shavkat Mirziyoyev on November 29 introduces amendments and additions that provide for restrictions on service in the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan and law enforcement agencies.

In particular, prohibitions are established for military personnel and law enforcement officers to engage in entrepreneurial activities, to receive any rewards, benefits or gifts from individuals and legal entities in exchange for performing or not performing their official duties in the interests of individuals and legal entities, and to use benefits, preferences or advantages not provided for by law in connection with their official position.
