Production and sale of nasvay banned in Kyrgyzstan
The Kyrgyz government has approved a concept of demographic policy until 2040. According to the document, the production and distribution of nasvoy will be completely banned in the country.
It is also planned to raise the minimum age for purchasing alcoholic beverages and cigarettes to 20-21 years. Restrictions will also be imposed on the sale of alcohol and tobacco products at night and via the Internet.
In addition, it is planned to increase the price of these products by increasing excise taxes. The government also plans to tighten control over the advertising of tobacco and alcohol products in order to protect minors from harmful habits.
