On October 1, 2025, the 31st International Creative Competition in Korean Language and Literature took place at Yonsei University, one of the most prestigious universities in South Korea. The event was organized in celebration of the 579th anniversary of the creation of Hangul, and it brought together more than 1,400 participants from 76 countries, including foreigners and overseas Koreans. Participants expressed their thoughts and cultural emotions through a poem on the theme “Mirror” and an essay on the theme “Memories.”

Representing Uzbekistan at this prestigious creative event was fourth-year student of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Sabohat Gofurova. She took first place among foreign participants and ranked third overall, including Korean participants. This is a remarkable achievement for the student and a source of pride for our country.
