On February 29, Shavkat Mirziyoyev went to Khorezm region.
During the visit, the President also participated in the opening ceremony of a new bridge in the Amudarya district and the ceremony of starting the construction of a 100-megawatt solar power plant by the Voltalia company in Tuproqkala.
In addition, 1.5 billion dollars were invested in Khorezm region, of which 1 billion dollars of foreign investment and 600 million dollars of exports were set.
A 3-year program for the development of tourism, which is one of the main drivers of Khorezm, was adopted, and it was said that the visa system "Uzbekistan is my second home" will be introduced for tourists to enter Khorezm without restrictions for a year.
It was also proposed to establish "Lazgi" and "Avesto" museums in the city of Urganch.
