President visits Regional Environmental Summit Exhibition

As part of his working visit to Kazakhstan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the national pavilions at the Regional Environmental Summit (MES-2026) exhibition, organized at the Astana EXPO International Exhibition Center in Astana. The exhibition was attended by heads of delegations from Central Asian countries, including Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia. The summit discussed issues of combating climate change, ensuring food security, sustainable management of natural resources, reducing air pollution, effective waste management and transition to a "green" economy. The Uzbekistan pavilion presented priority initiatives in the field of ecology and climate policy, including the projects "Green Space", "Clean Air", "Zero Waste Zone", "Ecoculture", "Biomeros" and "Environmental Education". Special attention was also paid to eliminating environmental problems in the Aral Sea region and cooperation with international organizations, in particular, United Nations structures.
