President Shavkat Mirziyoyev holds talks with the President of Paraguay

At the Koksaroy residence, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held talks with the President of Paraguay, Santiago Peña.
The meeting focused on prospects for strengthening practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Paraguay. It was emphasized that this summit marks a new era in the development of friendly relations between the two countries.

Special attention was given to increasing bilateral trade, developing business relations, and implementing joint projects in agriculture, food and chemical industries, digitalization, tourism, and sports.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides confirmed their readiness to further develop political dialogue and deepen practical cooperation in mutually beneficial areas.

Following the talks in Tashkent, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Santiago Peña signed a Joint Statement.
In addition, in the presence of the leaders, a protocol on the completion of bilateral negotiations on market access within the framework of Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding on establishing a political consultation mechanism between the foreign ministries of the two countries, was also signed.
