President Shavkat Mirziyoyev Announces New Initiatives for Youth

Today, on June 30 – Youth Day, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with young people, reviewed their startups, innovative developments, as well as their social, cultural, and educational projects. He also personally presented the "Kelajak Bunyodkori" (Builder of the Future) and "Mard O'g'lon" (Brave Young Man) awards to a group of outstanding young people.
In addition, the President announced the following new projects and initiatives for youth:
🔹 "Love for the Motherland – Social Initiatives" Competition – Volunteers who propose the best solutions to public issues, along with the authors of the 50 best social projects, will be recognized and awarded.
🔹 "Qanot" (Wing) Project – Aimed at preventing repeat offenses by engaging children from socially vulnerable groups in social services, education, sports, music, and the arts.
🔹 "Initiatives Office" – A new platform will help transform young people's ideas into real projects, products, and services. UZS 50 billion will be allocated for this initiative.
🔹 "Muhammad al-Khwarizmi" State Scholarship – Established to support talented students in the field of information technology.
🔹 "Women Engineers" Scholarship – Designed to encourage talented female students studying engineering, information technology, and artificial intelligence.
🔹 "My First Computer" Program – For 10,000 young people from low-income families, half of the cost of purchasing a laptop will be covered by the Digital Technologies Fund, while the remaining amount will be provided through an interest-free loan repayable over three years.
🔹 "1,000 Problems – 1,000 Solutions from Youth" Initiative – Government leaders will publish pressing issues from their respective sectors on an open platform and offer rewards for the best solutions. Each minister and regional governor will establish a venture fund of at least UZS 10 billion.
🔹 "Uzbekistan Youth League" Platform – Young people will be able to upload their achievements to the platform. Based on evaluations by relevant ministries, participants will receive points. Those with the highest scores will be eligible for educational grants, tuition discounts, professional training vouchers, and financial support for studying abroad.
🔹 "TOP-100" Program – An open competition for young people in Uzbekistan and compatriots living abroad in the fields of the new economy, information technology and artificial intelligence, education, healthcare, and agriculture. The 100 winners will each receive UZS 50 million and will be recommended for leadership positions.
🔹 "Guaranteed First Step" Package – University students who help out-of-school youth prepare for university admission under the "Mentor–Student" program will receive additional points when applying for master's programs and priority consideration for state scholarships.
