President Sadr Japarov received US Senator Gary Peters

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadr Japarov received US Senator, Chairman of the Senate Committee on National Security and Government Affairs Gary Peters, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a working visit.

An exchange of views took place on the expansion of political and economic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and the United States.

Welcoming the senator, the head of state drew attention to the growing political relations between the two countries and the strengthening of bilateral understanding.

He expressed hope that the bilateral agenda, which focuses on security, democracy and economic development, will continue to be filled with concrete content.

In addition, Sadr Japarov expressed confidence that the senator's visit to Kyrgyzstan would give impetus to the intensification of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

In response, Gary Peters thanked the head of state for the warm welcome and the opportunity to discuss issues of interstate relations and cooperation between the two countries.

He noted that this was his first visit to Kyrgyzstan and expressed interest in developing relations and strengthening friendship.

Gary Peters expressed his readiness to expand cooperation for the benefit of the two countries.

The parties confirmed their readiness to continue the dialogue on topical areas of bilateral cooperation.
