President Reviews Progress on the New “Samarkand – Urgut” Railway Line

During his visit to the Samarkand region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the ongoing construction of the new “Samarkand – Urgut” railway line. The Head of State traveled to Urgut by train together with local community representatives, observing the progress of construction and receiving information about plans to modernize the region’s transport infrastructure.

Upon arrival in Urgut, the President held an open and sincere meeting with district activists, elders, youth, and officials. Discussions focused on infrastructure development, expanding tourism potential, supporting entrepreneurship, and creating new jobs.

President Mirziyoyev noted that Urgut has great economic and cultural opportunities, and emphasized that the new railway line will significantly enhance mobility, boost trade and industry, and stimulate tourism across the region.
