President presents state awards to representatives of culture and art

In accordance with the presidential decree of May 28, a group of creative people working in the fields of culture, art and literature were awarded state awards. Today, a solemn ceremony of awarding these awards was held at the International Congress Center in Tashkent.

In his speech, the Head of State noted that the strength of a country is determined not only by economic indicators, but also by the level of spirituality, culture, literature and art. At the event, 167 leading representatives of the field were awarded high state awards. Among them are writers and poets, singers and musicians, theater and film figures, artists, craftsmen and other representatives of the cultural sphere.

Also, 24 deceased creative people, whose creativity has remained immortal in the hearts of the people, were awarded posthumously. The President noted that honoring their memory is the spiritual duty of the people. At the ceremony, honorary titles, orders, and medals were solemnly presented to the recipients of state awards. The awardees expressed gratitude to the President for the attention and conditions created.
