President orders a review of the suitability of 17 regional governors for their positions

During a video conference chaired by the President, the performance of 17 cities and districts with low industrial and export indicators was sharply criticized.

The regions where industrial growth fell behind projections include Yangiabad District, the city of Gozgon, and Muzrabot, Qiziriq, and Oltiariq districts. In terms of exports, weak performance was noted in Kasbi, Denov, Tashkent District, Jizzakh City, Paxtaobod, Navoi City, Jomboy, Toyloq, Bandixon, Mirzacho‘l, Yozyovon, and Bektemir districts.

In this regard, the President instructed the Prime Minister to review the suitability of these 17 regional governors for their positions on the same day. It was also stated that if industrial and export indicators in these areas do not improve by the end of the first nine months of the year, strict measures will also be taken against the relevant deputy regional governors.
