At a meeting with the President of Germany, Emomali Rahmon named the priority areas of cooperation between the two states, the press service of the head of the republic reported.
Tajikistan and Germany intend to intensify bilateral cooperation.
This was the subject of the meeting between the presidents of the two countries, Emomali Rahmon and Frank Walter Stanmeier, the press service of the leader of the republic reports.
It is noted that at the negotiations attention was paid to:
expanding regional and bilateral ties in trade and economics;
increasing the volume of trade turnover and exports of agricultural products;
development of interregional cooperation.
“It is necessary to intensify regional investment cooperation in the fields of industry, water management, energy, transport and tourism,” the press service said.
In addition, the presidents discussed security issues caused by the situation in Afghanistan, the department added.
It is emphasized that Emomali Rahmon invited Frank-Walter Steinmeier to visit Tajikistan on an official visit at a time convenient for him.

A bilateral meeting between Emomali Rahmon and Olaf Scholz is also planned, the presidential press service emphasized. Moreover, the head of Tajikistan will take part in the economic conference of the states of Central Asia and Germany.
