President of Kazakhstan Arrives in Uzbekistan on a State Visit

Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Uzbekistan on 14 November for a state visit, becoming the first foreign head of state to land at the newly built “Tashkent Humo” airport. He was welcomed at the airport by Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The two leaders discussed strengthening the strategic partnership and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in the new airport terminal.

According to the visit agenda, high-level talks and the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council will be held on 15 November. During the summit, major joint projects are expected to be launched, and several bilateral documents will be signed.

Additionally, on 15–16 November, Tashkent will host the 7th Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Heads of State.
