President issues a strong warning to criminal gangs

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that some athletes are joining criminal groups, extorting money from entrepreneurs, putting pressure on businesses and committing financial crimes. He also pointed out the existence of gangs that consider themselves “above the law” and illegally resolve disputes between people.

The head of state stressed that the authorities have enough power to put an end to the activities of such groups.

“Let everyone hear this: we have the strength to stop these criminal gangs, and we will definitely do so.
Uzbekistan has a state, a Constitution and laws that will reliably protect our citizens, entrepreneurs and investors in any situation,” the President said.
