President gets acquainted with preparatory work for Tashkent International Investment Forum

Shavkat Mirziyoyev was briefed on the preparations for the Tashkent International Investment Forum. More than 8,000 participants from 99 countries are expected to participate in the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum, which will be held on June 16-18. About 3,100 of them will be foreign guests.

The event includes a plenary session, bilateral meetings, presentations of sectors and regions, signing ceremonies of investment agreements, and business dialogues. Also, the exhibition, which will demonstrate Uzbekistan's investment potential, will present areas such as agriculture, light industry, energy, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical industry, artificial intelligence, and information technologies.

The forum will also host the next plenary session of the Council of Foreign Investors under the President. It will discuss issues of improving the investment climate, accelerating innovative development, and creating favorable conditions for investors.

This year's forum is expected to sign major investment agreements covering the chemical industry, geology, energy, pharmaceuticals, transport and logistics, tourism, education and a number of other areas. The President instructed officials to organize the forum at a high level, welcome foreign guests with dignity, and systematically monitor the implementation of the agreements to be signed.
