The President commemorated war heroes in the Victory Park

On May 8, Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Victory Park in Tashkent and participated in a ceremony dedicated to the Day of Memory and Honor.

At the event, the head of state laid a wreath at the "Hymn of Perseverance" monument. Representatives of the Armed Forces, state and public organizations, and luminaries attended the event.

The President paid tribute to war and labor veterans at the ceremony, noting that the Victory Park is a place that embodies the courage and heroism of our people.

He also visited the "Millat fidoylari" Alley and paid tribute to the memory of the soldiers who died defending the homeland during the years of independence. The names of 196 heroes are engraved in the complex. It was noted that in 2025, about 650 thousand local and foreign guests visited this complex.

According to the President, in today's global situation, maintaining national unity and solidarity is the most important strength and wealth. It was also emphasized that respect for the defenders of the homeland and support for their families will continue.
