Poverty line in Uzbekistan set at 715 thousand soums
In 2026, the minimum consumption expenditure used as the poverty line in Uzbekistan was set at 715 thousand soums per person per month.
According to the Statistics Committee, this amount was calculated based on inflation indices for food, non-food products and services. This indicator is used as a criterion for identifying the population in need of social assistance, evaluating anti-poverty programs, and determining the amount of pensions and benefits.
The poverty line was 669 thousand soums in 2025, and 648 thousand soums in 2024.
