Posters and Synopsis Released for the Amir Timur Film “Tamerlane”

Posters and the official synopsis for the historical film “Rise of the Conqueror” (Tamerlane), посвящённого жизни Amir Timur, have been unveiled, according to blogger Nodir Nishonov.

The story is set in the 1360s. At that time, the Great Silk Road, which connected East and West, was in decline, the Mongol Empire had fragmented, and once-prosperous cities were falling into ruin.

According to the synopsis, Timur’s life is marked by betrayal, painful losses, and injuries. After losing those closest to him, he transforms his suffering into strength, defeats his enemies, overthrows a corrupt ruler, and reclaims leadership.

The film is directed by Jacob Schwartz. The role of Amir Timur is played by Kristian Mortensen, while his rival Amir Husayn is portrayed by Mahesh Jadu. The role of Sahibqiran’s first wife is performed by Yulduz Rajabova.

The film is scheduled for release in 2026.
