Pipeline ruptures at Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex
Videos showing a pipeline rupture at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) have circulated on social media.
According to reports, the incident occurred at 11:55 a.m. on August 5 on a main pipeline leading to the tailings storage facility of the copper processing plant. Company specialists repaired the pipeline shortly after the incident and eliminated the malfunction.
Specialists from the Tashkent Regional Department of Ecology and Climate Change also collected samples from the site for laboratory analysis. Appropriate measures will be taken in accordance with the law based on the results of the investigation.
