Phonograms to be restricted in Uzbekistan

In accordance with the relevant decree of the President, starting from May 1, 2025, the use of phonograms in all concert and entertainment events financed from the state budget and extra-budgetary funds will be gradually restricted.

Also, when recommending artists for state awards such as “People's Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, “Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and “People's Courtier of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, their ability to sing live will be taken into account first of all, and a “Live Performance Week” will be held every quarter.
