People's Artist of Uzbekistan Yakub Ahmedov dies

Master artist of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theater, People's Artist of Uzbekistan, State Prize laureate, holder of the Order "For Selfless Services", theater, film and dubbing actor Yakub Ahmedov died at the age of 87.

Yakub Ahmedov was born on January 3, 1938 in Namangan. In 1959, he graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Arts and began his creative career at the Hamza Theater (now the National Drama Theater). He left an indelible mark on the hearts of the audience in such films as "Bygden Days", "Ketma", "Olovli yo'llar", "Furqat", as well as in such roles as Alisher Navoi, Hakimboyvachcha, Tolagan.
