Peace Agreement on Gaza Signed
On October 13, a peace agreement on Gaza was signed in Sharm El-Sheikh with the participation of Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the United States.
U.S. President Donald Trump called the event “the dawn of a new era in the Middle East,” adding: “There will be no World War III.”
As part of the truce, Hamas released 20 Israeli hostages, while Israel returned hundreds of Palestinian prisoners to their homeland. Humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza have also begun.
