A part of the road collapsed in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent on March 12. The incident occurred near the overpass near the intersection of Temur Malik and Buyuk Ipak Yoli streets.
The Tashkent city administration reported that there were no injuries as a result of the incident. The area has been cordoned off, and specialists and emergency services have been called to the scene. A technical inspection is currently underway. According to preliminary estimates, the incident may have been caused by heavy rainfall in recent days and excessive soil moisture.
This road was reconstructed in 2024 and was designed to last more than 100 years.
