A court in the city of Komsomolsk in the Khabarovsk Territory of Russia has sentenced parents who locked their 2-year-old daughter in a box and tortured her for a long time. According to the investigation, the parents, aged 27 and 29, locked their daughter in a box for about 5 months in 2024, depriving her of the opportunity to move. They did not give the child food and water and kept her in unsanitary conditions. As a result, the girl became extremely thin and died. The parents said that the reason for this was that their daughter’s movement in the one-room apartment bothered them. The court found them guilty of intentional torture and murder and sentenced them to 20 years in prison each.
