Paid residency program launched in the U.S.

U.S. President Donald Trump has introduced the “Gold Card” program for foreign citizens. According to it, individuals who pay 1 million dollars and have high qualifications can obtain U.S. residency rights through a fast-track procedure.

Under the program, companies can secure residency for a foreign employee by paying 2 million dollars, while anyone who pays 5 million dollars will receive a “Platinum Card,” which grants exemption from taxes on income earned outside the United States.

Trump said this program would bring major investment, new businesses, and jobs into the country. At the same time, the rules for the H-1B visa have also been changed: companies that want to hire a foreign specialist must now pay 100,000 dollars.
