Paid parking lots to be launched in Tashkent on May 8

A roadside paid parking system will be launched in Tashkent on May 8. Representatives of Streetpark Systems announced this at a press conference on May 5.

In the first stage of the project, parking lots will be organized on Amir Temur Avenue, Mirabad, Shahrisabz, Istiqbol and Zarafshon streets. The first tests began on Amir Temur Avenue on May 2, where parking is set at 12,000 soums per hour.

By the end of July, it is planned to introduce more than 13,000 paid parking lots on 86 streets. Payments will be made through the “Poytaxt Parking” mobile application. Tariffs are set from 5,000 soums to 12,000 soums per hour, depending on the area.

Free parking will be available in residential areas in the evening and at night. In the early days of the system, warnings will be limited to violations, and no fines will be applied.
