Ozodbek Nazarbekov was confirmed as the Minister of Culture

By the decree of the President of Uzbekistan, Ozodbek Nazarbekov was confirmed as the Minister of Culture. This was announced by the press secretary of the president.

Previously, the candidacy of Ozodbek Nazarbekov was approved by the deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

According to the press service of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Ozodbek Nazarbekov gave information about his program of actions to be implemented in the future in order to ensure the effectiveness of reforms in the field of culture.

On January 22, 2020, Ozodbek Nazarbekov was approved by the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis for the position of Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan, and on January 24, he was approved by the President. Before that, he was the first deputy minister of culture.

In December 2022, the number of ministries in the country was reduced by the decree of the president "On measures to implement the administrative reforms of New Uzbekistan". At that time, the Ministries of Culture and Tourism were merged and Ozodbek Nazarbekov was appointed as its head.
