Azerbaijan declares 31 Turkish citizens "persona non grata" and bans them from entering the country

Azerbaijan has declared 31 Turkish citizens "persona non grata." Most of them are journalists, bloggers, or public figures.

According to "Report.az," the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this decision was made due to statements expressed on social media and online platforms.

The Ministry noted that these statements included calls directed against Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and national security, incitement to the violent overthrow of the government, as well as the promotion of hostility and hatred.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that appropriate measures will continue to be taken in the future against such actions directed at the country.
