Shymkent. August 15th. KAZAKHSTAN TODAY - The Shymkent Prosecutor's Office has revealed many violations in the activities of children's health camps affecting the life and health of children. In particular, the Hawaii camp is not equipped with a fire alarm system and carried out activities without a mandatory sanitary and epidemiological conclusion, while 478 children visited this camp in 2023. 310 students were accommodated in the camp "Ush Bulak" with a maximum occupancy of no more than 220 children, respectively, the sleeping place of one child was reduced to 2.8 sq.m instead of the required 4 sq.m.," the department reported. It also turned out that many camp workers carried out activities without employment contracts, medical services were provided by unskilled employees, without documents. The medical offices themselves do not meet the established requirements, there are no mandatory medicines and equipment," the prosecutor's office reported. Verification activities are continuing, and measures will be taken based on the results. Recall that inspections take place in all children's camps of the country. They were initiated after a sensational video from a children's camp in Almaty, in which parents found a functioning sauna with half-naked men. A sauna in a children's camp was also found during an inspection in the Kostanay region. In addition, expired medicines and food were found in children's camps. Children's camps in the Almaty region shock not only the inspectors. It turned out that out of 22 institutions, 8 worked without permits and with violations of sanitary-epidemiological, fire regulations. Major repairs were not carried out in the sleeping buildings. In 4-bed rooms, 8 or more people were accommodated. The director of one of the camps was intoxicated at his workplace. And in the Akmola region, during the inspection of children's camps, rat poison was found in the kitchen, bottles of alcohol and weapons.
