Over 1 billion soums stolen via fake MyGov website
The Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Cybercrime Department detained a criminal group that forged Uzbekistan’s Unified Interactive State Services Portal — my.gov.uz — and deceived citizens.
According to reports, the suspects spread fake advertisements on Instagram under the name “compensation registration center,” obtained citizens’ bank card details, and misappropriated their funds.
Investigations revealed that the group fraudulently acquired over 1 billion soums from 456 individuals. A criminal case has been opened, and investigative actions are ongoing.
