OpenAI plans to allow erotic content for adults in ChatGPT

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman announced that the company plans to allow erotic content in ChatGPT only for users with verified age. According to him, the new version will respond in a more human-like tone according to the user’s preference. These changes will be implemented in December 2025, after the age verification system in ChatGPT is fully rolled out.

Under OpenAI’s new policy, such content will be accessible only to users over 18 who have verified their identity. Users under 18 will be automatically directed to a safe, censored version.

However, lawyer Jenny Kim expressed doubts about the reliability of this system. In her view, OpenAI, like other major tech companies, is “turning people into test subjects.”
