60-year-old Shukurali Kurbanov, one of the defendants with Bakhtiyor Gudratullayev, died a day after the verdict was read. He was charged with two articles of the Criminal Code and sentenced to 8 years and 2 months in prison.

Shukurali Kurbanov was the second figure in the case after Bakhtiyor Gudratullayev.
