On the island of Corfu, an aircraft engine caught fire

A fire broke out in the engine after the aircraft, flying on the Corfu (Greece) — Düsseldorf (Germany) route, was lifted into the air. There were 273 passengers and 8 crew on board. The pilot managed to make an emergency landing of the aircraft at Brindizi Airport, Italy.

As a result of the incident, no one was injured, all passengers were safely evacuated.
