In Jizzakh region, a senior operative representative of the Pakhtakor district department of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes colluded with an acquaintance and gained the trust of a representative of an LLC engaged in technical supply. They promised to help sell 20 interactive boards to the Jizzakh city department of preschool and school education at an inflated price, demanding 85 million soums in return.
During an operational operation conducted in cooperation with the State Security Service and the prosecutor's office, a citizen born in 1989 was first detained while receiving the money. Then, an employee of the department who received part of the funds was detained along with the school principal with material evidence.
In this case, the Jizzakh regional prosecutor's office initiated a criminal case under Article 168 of the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure of detention was applied against the employee of the department and the school principal. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.
