Officials comment on students commuting to school by donkey

Videos showing students commuting to school on donkeys in the village of Olmosuvon, located in the Kattakurgan district of the Samarkand region, have circulated on social media.
The Department of Preschool and School Education clarified that the situation shown in the video took place not in Mavlonsoy village, but at School No. 84 in Olmosuvon village (part of the "Burgansoy" *mahalla*), situated 40 kilometers from the district center.
Local residents rely on pack animals for their daily commutes because the area is mountainous, villages are scattered, and internal roads consist primarily of footpaths.
Some students travel up to 4 kilometers to reach the school's main building. Relevant authorities are currently considering measures to ensure safe and convenient travel for the students and to improve road infrastructure.
