Official Subject to Disciplinary Inquiry After Treating Citizen Rudely

An official inquiry has been initiated against Ubaydulla Ochilov, the head of the Koson district branch of the Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan, after a video circulated on social media showing him treating a citizen rudely and making threats.
Reportedly, the incident occurred on July 28 while he was demanding that the citizen remove sand that had been spilled onto the street. During the ensuing dispute, the official used abusive language.
The Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan condemned the incident, stating that such behavior violates the code of conduct for civil servants. It was announced that, following the investigation, a legal assessment of the official's actions would be made and appropriate measures taken.
