Official details released regarding the train-Gentra collision in Surkhandarya

It was previously reported that a train struck a Gentra car at a railway crossing in the Denov district of the Surkhandarya region, resulting in four fatalities. However, an official statement clarified that two women in the vehicle died as a result of the incident.
The accident occurred around 17:13 on August 29 at a railway crossing in the "Ozod" neighborhood. The Gentra was crossing the tracks while a transit train traveling the Dushanbe–Volgograd route was passing through.
As a result of the collision, two individuals—a resident of the Shurchi district (born in 1979) and a resident of the Denov district (born in 1996)—died at the scene. The driver and a baby girl (born in 2024) sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital; their condition is reported to be stable. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident, and a pre-investigation inquiry is currently underway.
