Summing up the results of its semi-annual activity, the Communications Service of Tajikistan announced a significant decrease in the number of active mobile SIM cards among users

In Tajikistan, the total number of registered SIM cards at the beginning of July is 8.3 million.

Of this number, only 5.6 million are active.

This was announced during a press conference by Deputy Head of the Communications Service of Tajikistan Ilhomjon Atoev.

Thus, according to the statistics voiced by Atoev, for six months the number of active SIM cards in the republic decreased by 800 thousand.

At the beginning of this year, this figure was 6.4 million.

However, earlier it was reported about the massive blocking of SIM cards in Tajikistan.

According to the decision of the government, registration must be carried out using an identity card of the 2014 model.
