UzA reports that the price of raw cotton in Uzbekistan is determined based on the agreement of the parties based on supply and demand.

It is noted that the price of cotton raw materials is determined in accordance with the requirements of the market economy, based on the condition of the land in that region, the expenses for cotton cultivation, the demand and supply in the market, and based on the mutual agreement of the buying and selling parties.

We remind you that earlier in Uzbekistan, new payment prices for cotton picking were announced, in which the payment of 1 kilogram of cotton in the first picking is not less than 2100 soums, and in the second picking is not less than 2600 soums. the news spread.

The Ministry of Agriculture stated that such reports are groundless and said that the work on setting the price for cotton harvesting is currently in the process of agreement with the ministries.

"Currently, we are in the process of agreeing with the ministries on setting the price for cotton picking. It will be clearly indicated how much the price will be set for its first and second harvest (taking into account the varieties)," the report said.
