Now, only companies with "Umra license" organize "Umra" events

Some additional license requirements and conditions for the provision of "Umra" services by private tour companies are being introduced.

According to the religious committee, this is the government's order dated August 8, 2023 No. 345 "On additional measures to effectively protect the interests of pilgrims in the organization and conduct of Umrah" events. developed in accordance with the decision.

According to him, representatives of the private sector engaged in this service, including:

reserves not less than 100,000 US dollars to the Safe Tourism Fund of the Tourism Committee;
During "Umra" services, on the basis of the contract concluded with the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan, experts with religious knowledge and skills are appointed as the leaders of the group of pilgrims;
In the state of the tour operator providing "Umra" services, at least a graduate of a republican educational institution in the field of religious (Islamic) education or a relevant bachelor's degree or master's degree of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan ensures the presence of one specialist;
Providing "Umra" services to minors is prohibited;
"Umra" provides its services in accordance with the contract signed between the partner organization in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
