Students are allowed to work as doctors if they pass clinical exams. Starting from the 2023/2024 academic year, the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills of undergraduate, graduate and clinical residency students will be evaluated without the human factor, using special robot-simulators. Oktam Ismailov, the head of the science and education department of the SSV, informed about this.
It is noted that students are allowed to work as doctors if they pass clinical exams.
From the 2024/2025 academic year, a two-stage state examination system will be introduced in all state and non-state medical higher education institutions.
At the 1st stage, students pass the final state exams in fundamental sciences, and at the 2nd stage, the level of mastery of clinical sciences is evaluated.
Those who successfully pass the preliminary exam are allowed to transfer from one course to another, and those who show good results in clinical knowledge tests are allowed to work as doctors in practice.
Also, entrance exams for residency and internship are conducted by our human factor. Hitherto, the interview-based admission process will be stopped. Entrance exams for clinical residency and internship specialties are conducted by the Knowledge and Skills Assessment Agency on the basis of one-stage tests.
In this case, it is determined that the payment of half of the BHM for each applicant will be paid by the relevant medical educational institution. The organization of admission processes twice a year also provides an additional opportunity for candidates.
