Now, bloggers with 10,000 subscribers will have to pay taxes

❗️ A new draft law regulating the activities of bloggers, influencers and website owners in Uzbekistan has been published for public discussion.

According to the law, a blogger with more than 10 thousand subscribers is obliged to pay taxes in accordance with the Tax Code when earning income through advertising.
Bloggers and platform owners will have obligations such as checking the accuracy of content, not spreading false information, deleting illegal materials, and respecting user rights. The purpose of this law is to regulate social relations in the field of protecting the rights of users of online platforms and websites operating in the territory of Uzbekistan.
In addition, it is envisaged to reduce the speed of access to online platforms in Uzbekistan that have not systematically cooperated with the authorized body based on a court decision. In this case, the practice of blocking will be completely abandoned.
