North Korea decided to equip submarines with tactical nuclear weapons

North Korea launched a new submarine equipped with tactical nuclear weapons, the ceremony was attended by North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, according to voice of Korea.

According to the head of state, the DPRK plans to modernize all heavy submarines and equip them with tactical nuclear weapons.

“This is necessary for them to play a large role in modern warfare. The plan is part of the Navy fortification line outlined at the VIII Congress of the Workers ' Party of Korea. The restoration of the military shipyard is the top priority, it is impossible to bypass it, it is necessary to complete it to the end even in the most difficult conditions to implement,” Kim quotes Chen in from the radio station.

It is noted that the launch of the new submarine “hero Kim Gun Ok” No. 841, equipped with tactical nuclear weapons, took place on September 6.

Earlier, the DPRK army conducted imitation exercises for tactical nuclear strikes on command posts and airfields in South Korea. The North Korean military fired two tactical ballistic missiles in a northeasterly direction, which exploded in the air at an altitude of 400 meters above the target.
