Nika Pharm fined for using historical figures in its advertising

Nika Pharm was fined for using images of historical figures in its advertising for its drug Rinoxil Formula+. The advertising used images of famous historical figures such as Amir Temur, Alisher Navoi, Ibn Sina, George Washington, Julius Caesar and Napoleon Bonaparte.

The Competition Committee assessed these advertising materials as disrespectful to the memory of great ancestors and contrary to generally accepted norms of morality and spirituality. Also, a special commission of the territorial department of the Committee initiated a case against Nika Pharm LLC for violation of the requirements of Article 16 of the Law “On Advertising” and adopted a decision to impose a financial penalty.
