A new anti-corruption system will be introduced in the judicial system

Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with a presentation aimed at increasing the efficiency of the compliance control system in the courts. The presentation announced that it is planned to establish a Compliance Control Service within the Supreme Court.
 
It is noted that this service will be subordinate to the Chairman of the Supreme Court and will include compliance inspectors working in regional courts. The new system will be responsible for identifying, assessing and preventing corruption risks, as well as monitoring employees' compliance with the requirements of the law and professional ethics.
 
Measures will also be taken to form a list of high-risk positions in the judicial system, fully digitize certain processes and reduce the human factor. An electronic system for filing conflict of interest, income and property declarations for judges and court staff will be introduced.
 
In addition, it is planned to conduct a diagnostics of the anti-corruption stability of the judicial system by the end of 2026. The practice of assessing the professional and anti-corruption stability of candidates for judges will also be established. The program for automatic distribution of judicial cases will be improved, and the criteria for the distribution and redistribution of cases will be clearly defined. The system for recruiting to the judicial apparatus will be organized on the basis of open competition and meritocracy.

The meeting also considered a proposal to introduce special service uniforms for judicial staff. The President noted that ensuring transparency and honesty in the judicial system is an important factor in increasing citizens' trust in the courts, and gave instructions to thoroughly develop proposals.
