New requirement from Russia for migrants

Starting from June 30, 2025, foreign citizens entering Russia without a visa (except for citizens of Belarus and children under 6 years old) will need to register in advance and receive a QR code through a special mobile application - Gosuslugi RuID. The application can be submitted at least 72 hours before entering Russia, and in urgent cases - 4 hours before.
This procedure also applies to citizens of countries such as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan.
Russia is also tightening its migration policy. Illegal immigrants are being deported, their residence periods are being reduced, and in some cases, the importation of family members of migrants may be prohibited.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan recommends that citizens check their status on the website of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
