New Public Parks to Be Developed in the Capital

Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration, toured several public parks in the capital and announced plans to restore Tashkent's status as a "green city."

According to the statement, although Tashkent is developing rapidly, the city still lacks sufficient green spaces. Therefore, creating new public parks and expanding urban greening efforts have been identified as key priorities for the capital's future development.

Several important sites across the city were inspected. Each location has its own unique characteristics, with the overarching goal of transforming these areas into comfortable public spaces that serve the needs of residents.

Among the locations reviewed was the park on Afrosiyob Street, where plans are underway to create all the necessary conditions for people to relax and enjoy their leisure time. Discussions also covered the renovation of Sayilgoh Street, Amir Temur Avenue and its surrounding areas, as well as the expansion of Bobur Ecopark and Mirzo Ulugbek Park.

"Our main objective is to restore our capital's status as a 'green city' and create as many open public spaces as possible where people can relax, walk, and spend their leisure time," Saida Mirziyoyeva said.

She also stressed the importance of immediately addressing issues related to developing a comfortable and safe urban environment, consistently expanding green areas, and making more efficient use of the city's existing infrastructure to improve residents' quality of life.
